Reviews Summary
Users have mixed feelings about the InVideo AI: Video Generator app, appreciating its potential and the ability to create videos, but frequently criticizing its pricing, subscription model, limitations on features, edits, quality inconsistencies, and the app's frequent crashes and errors.
I'm currently trying out the free version.. I made a nine minute video. and it was great. I feel for the price it could be a little better maybe offer a little more but ultimately I'm happy with the free version and I'm thinking about purchasing the yearly subscription. but before I make my decision I think there's a few questions that need to be answered. for instance the $240 a year subscription says you get 50 minutes.. but what does that mean per week per month? once I figure that out
I like the app, but it could be better. I paid for the plus subscription, thinking it would be a better experience. However, the experience is the same. I have had the app generate a few videos, but when I ask for the images to be actual photos of the people I'm asking about, they are unable to do so. Even once you upgrade, you don't have full access to the app, which is a waste of money. If they changed this, I think this app will be a huge success.
This is a great app for video content generation. I would say 5 stars if I was able to edit the caption font/color/style, more voice selections, place my videos where I would like(always starts at the beginning). I paid for this app to take the water marks out and Am pleased with the quality..I would be Raving about this app if I could fine tune it better.
I think it has potential, but they really need to work on the app a lot. The generative scenarios are not that great at all, really hit or miss. They use more credits to fix said errors and it's expensive! I got the $120 plan the highest they offer and I feel like I wasted my money in a way because the video quality is not great most times, doesn't follow the script and it's hard to edit without it changing everything. Regular istock videos not too bad. Generative pretty much trash.
The problem with InVideo, is when you input your own script, it changes it. It leads you to believe that it won't change it (by saying ' use my script', which is then followed by a 2nd selection of 'create a video for YT using exactly this script'), but what you end up with is a modified version of the script you input. It even modifies the title at the top of the script you input.
Edit: The app offers generative AI videos, but there's a catch you can with the paid subscription get more generative credits. But you can't buy generative without a paid subscription to try it out before getting a subscription. No settings reference guide to view to help typing the text field to help understand what commands the AI looks for, such as pause, fade, glass smashing and etc.. Has massive potential, and the developers need a little transparency and work on communication.
I have had the app for about 6 months. At first, it was great. Professional quality text to video. However, as of late, the app has gotten worse. At first, we had more options of voices and other minor features. Now, we have only 2 voice options. In addition, the pictures associated with the Ai generated scripts doesnt match. For example, one script was about belief and believing, but the picture associated with this topic was that of a social security card. Quality & consistency have worsen.
I was really excited to try InVideo AI, but it turned out to be a major disappointment. The pricing is outrageous—$25/month for the cheapest plan, and even that only gives you a limited amount of iStock points to export videos you’ve worked hard to create. On top of that, the AI consistently mispronounces words unless you use the "generative audio" feature. But here’s the kicker: to access generative audio, you have to either upgrade to the $60/month plan (which only
I signed up for the $25 plan but faced constant issues. Videos required heavy editing, and error messages repeatedly told me to try again. Following instructions, I kept retrying, but the problem persisted. I had to remake videos, which used up my credits, and later found duplicates of videos the system claimed couldn’t generate. Then I was told to purchase more time. I shouldn’t have to pay extra for issues caused by their system.
When it works, it's fantastic. But most of the time, it's as slow as molasses in January, and hangs constantly, so that I usually end up shutting down the app and reopening it to make it work again. I know, I know -- performance depends on the device I'm using. But I'm on a brand-new Samsung phone, and I suspect the real problem is on the server end. Can't use the app on my tablet, and don't have a real PC to use, so I'm always very frustrated by it. Again, when it works, it's fantastic... BUT.
